History of the Parish :
From 1979, the Fathers from Balasore Church were coming for the Sunday Holy Mass to the Catholics in and around Chrampa-Bhadrak. Most of these Catholics were either Govt. employees or Rly. employees from other parts of Orissa or from other States. At times these people used to go to Balasore Church to satisfy their Spiritual needs. In 1985 the Sisters of Handmaids of Mary from Sundargarh(H.M) were running an English Medium School of FACOR factory - Bhadrak in a rented building of Facor Management.

So fathers from Balasore Parish were coming for Sunday Mass to Bhadrak, where these Sisters were staying and a good number of Christians had regular Sunday Mass. On week days fathers, Varghese, Antony, Paul, etc were helping now and then.Due to some reasons these H.M. Sisters left Bhadrak in 1994. In 1995 the Bhadrak was declared as a separate civil District of Orissa. Till the Supercyclone 1999, there was no regular care of the Christians in and around Bhadark. At the end of Supercyclone in October 1999, Congregation of Mount Carmel Sisters (C.M.C) came to Bhadrak district head-quarter and started an English Medium School at By-pass, Bhadrak, in a rented building. In 2000 Fr. M.A. Balthazar was appointed as a first residential priest-incharge of Bhadrak Mission. He attended the Spiritual needs of the people as well as Sisters staying in a rented building. He was also taking care of the Animation as well as rehabilitation of post- supercyclone activities which was started by BSSS.From June 2004 Fr. J. Antony is appointed as priest incharge of Bhadrak parish.
